Hamm to Host Gun Law Seminars
September 2, 2026
HARRISBURG – Rep. Joe Hamm (R-Lycoming/Sullivan) is inviting area residents to attend two gun law seminars he will host next month.
They will be held as follows:
• Hughesville Volunteer Fire Department, 30 S. Railroad St., Hughesville: Thursday, Oct. 1, from 6-8 p.m.
• Old Lycoming Township Volunteer Fire Company, 1600 Dewey Ave., Williamsport: Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 6-8 p.m.
“Whether you are a long-time concealed carry license holder or are simply considering obtaining one, these gun law seminars will provide valuable information,” Hamm said. “As a strong supporter of the Second Amendment, I know how important it is for our law-abiding gun owners to have a solid understanding of our Commonwealth’s gun laws.”
Hamm will be joined at each event by the Lycoming County District Attorney’s Office, Lycoming County Sheriff’s Office, Pennsylvania State Police, and the Pennsylvania Game Commission. The presentation will address several topics, including Pennsylvania’s Castle Doctrine, License to Carry permits, interacting with law enforcement while lawfully carrying a concealed weapon, and firearm-carry laws related to hunting season. There will also be time for questions.
Seating for the seminars is limited. To register, visit RepJoeHamm.com/events, call the office at 570-327-2084 or email kkoch@pahousegop.com.
