HARRISBURG – Gov. Tom Wolf today presented his $40.2 billion budget plan, which is a $2.76 billion increase in spending over the current fiscal year, or a 7.4% increase. Rep. Mike Puskaric (R-Allegheny/Washington) made the following statement in response to the governor’s proposal:
HARRISBURG – The governor today issued his proposal for Pennsylvania’s 2021-22 budget. The governor has proposed a budget of $40.2 billion, which is an increase of $3 billion, or 8.2% over the 2019-20 budget. Focal points of the governor’s proposal included a 46% increase in Personal Income Tax (PIT) rates, an increased minimum wage and a severance tax on natural gas production.

HARRISBURG – Legislation sponsored by Rep. Tarah Toohil (R-Luzerne) that would protect living organ donors in Pennsylvania was unanimously approved by the House Insurance Committee on Tuesday. House Bill 203 now moves to the full House of Representatives for consideration.
HARRISBURG – Rep. Tarah Toohil (R-Luzerne) today was appointed as majority chair of the House Government Oversight Committee for the 2021-22 Legislative Session by House Majority Leader Kerry Benninghoff (R-Centre/Mifflin). Toohil served as a committee member during the last session.
HARRISBURG - State Rep. Sheryl Delozier (R-Cumberland) has been appointed to serve as majority chairman of the House Children and Youth Committee in what will be her seventh two-year term in the state Legislature. The announcement was made Tuesday in conjunction with swearing-in day for the 2021-22 Legislative Session of the Pennsylvania General Assembly.
HARRIBURG – Rep. Seth Grove (R-Dover) was joined by colleagues today as he took the oath of office for the new legislative session. Just after he was sworn in, Grove was named chairman of the House State Government Committee, a role he held in the interim at the end of the 2019-20 session.
